I haven’t written in a while, as alot of things have been happening… though im glad to say that the pictures i’ve been taking, can make up for that.
In the near future, im hoping to add a small photo gallery to this blog…. there are so many pictures that i’d like to put up, just so that
they can be seen.

A few weeks ago, i attended a wedding of some close family friends of ours…. unfortunately, out of the hundreds of pics that i took,
there were only just a few that i was really happy with. And its out of those few, that i chose to put up one in particular.

If i could describe this picture…i could only really use one word: “Gratitude”

This is a picture of a brother giving his sister a hug, as she is about to leave her home, to live her new life with her husband.

The reason i say i’d describe it along of the lines of ‘gratitude’, is because in a sense, this is the end of one journey, and a beginning of another. Its the acknowledgement and appreciation of a great change. Yet while its sad, it also brings happiness and appreciation for the life you’re about to move away from. I’ve always known that between siblings, there is a great bond, that can’t really be found anywhere else. Its a very unique bond that somehow you tend to appreciate more as you get older. Often im told, that there is no one who knows you better than your brother or sister…and while some people might not like that fact…it is absolutely true!

As this picture shows, letting go of someone that has been there your whole life, is one of the most difficult things to experience….
i know that someday, that will be me in that picture, hugging my sister as she’s about to begin her new life.

For me, that is assurance that we all have our own journeys to travel in this life…

“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged, to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.”
